My new account: ronri :iconilikeitplz:
I actually made the account ages ago but as you can tell, there's barely anything at all.

So yeah I'm currently fixing up stuff, sketching every now and then and I've stored some of my Deviations on this account. Now don't worry! They'll be back (mostly the new ones anyway) and on the new account so keep an eye out for them. I'll only exclusively use my Demented-Pumpkin account for OCT-related stuff or if I ever join any new OCTs at all (I actually have one fairly developed OC that I can use for anything in the future).

As you can tell, not much is on there yet but I will post soon (or re-post) once I get my stuff together. Also I have added the same people on my Watchlist and faved literally EVERY SINGLE fave I had from this account, transferring them onto the new account. It's no easy feat with nearly 6000+ faves So please do forgive me for those of you who have been bombarded with a multitude of new faves (and for not notifying you guys earlier with this Journal entry).

The Stored Deviations (mostly the new ones) will be back on this account as well but I'll be changing up the image of the Deviations themselves so that I can direct people onto my new account.

Anyways........so hopefully I'll see you guys on the other side!!! :iconiloveitplz:

Long journal is LONG so please read the following before making any judgements:

I've been using the alias/username "Demented-Pumpkin" for a very long time but lately I've been having urges in wanting to create a new account. Now it's not as simple me wanting to "change my username" since mine is not as bad as some others out there (long-story-short it came from this creature concept I developed and I just rolled with it).
Now the first reason I wanna change to a new account is that I want to change the way I market myself. Getting into fandoms and communities, I wish to somewhat shift the way I present myself. While this may not be a problem for some, I feel like I'm doing a disservice to my watchers (especially those from the Civil War OCT) especially considering how this new approach may not be of your interest.

The second reason is because I want to change my alias/username to a much shorter one that's easier for people to address me by. This may seem random, but I've always noticed how people (especially new people) most often have hard time wondering what to call me ("Demented", "Pumpkin", "DP" etc.). It doesn't help that "Demented" is fairly long and crazy-sounding (not saying crazy is bad as I LOVE crazy), while "Pumpkin" is fairly generic and just as long, only making it worse.

The final and most important reason is I just want to re-invent myself I guess. New story ideas (like actual stories I've been developing for almost 2-3 years along with a whole range of original characters) as well getting into works and fandoms that cater to my interests. I feel as if I've matured in the way that I've come to learn to appreciate the things that truly make me happy as opposed to simply just assuming an "identity" that only suits other people's expectations of me as an artist. For example, I've recently realised that my love for classy retro-style design actually came from my attraction of an image of the very lovely Audrey Hepburn. Another example is my obsession over the human condition and the ideas and implications presented by robots/androids with human qualities, with one of my biggest influences/inspiration being the classic sci-fi anime film "Metropolis". I just finally want to get in touch with this more open-minded and appreciative mindset.

Now with that said, if I WERE to move to a new account, I'll still keep this account active. Mind you, before I move I still do plan to finish my Civil War story summary and post it on this account (forgive me really as this is my last year of college before I go to Uni so schoolwork is just getting really heavy and stressful). Of course I will be re-posting (NOT removing) my more recent deviations (specifically the fan art) on my non-existent new account while still keeping everything (especially my treasured Civil War experience) for old time's sake and the great comments people have made (mind you, I'll make sure that the old deviations have an obvious re-direct link to my new account whilst adding description over the deviation itself to make this obvious).

So my ACTUAL watchers who actually bothered reading all of that, what do you think? Am I making any sense or am I just going crazy here? Should I create and move to a new account? Would you still follow even if I were to move to said new account?
Also, I'll be away for a fair bit of time as the next coming weeks will be the final term of this year's college so I'll be pretty damn busy focusing on my studies as I prep up for university. Of course, I'll be keeping an eye on this journal entry and take into consideration of your opinions and thoughts on this.

I have sooooooo many things to say right now and one journal entry just isn't enough to cover them!

First of all, I've cleaned up most of my gallery so forgive me if you find one of my old deviations in your faves that's in storage.
I feel like I wanna change and explore different styles of anime/manga/comics or even mash it all up as I've been in a such a creative mood lately.

I had such great fun having an Anime marathon during the school break and by GAWD IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!!! Heck it was sooooo great, I'll even dedicate a whole journal entry for it right after this one.

Now for those of you who have managed to cling onto the memory of Invictus, I will tell you that I've never forgotten it. It's just that I've been so out of it that I really needed a break from OCTs in general. While I've been wanting to clear it off my mind and finish my plot summary for the final entry, what's been holding me back is the amount of references I need (lol I was planning to use so many characters...no wonder I died in the final round) just to summarize the whole story.

But yes ANYWAYS as I was saying before, I've been wanting to re-invent myself and the aforementioned anime marathon sure as hell kicked me up and threw me into a creative mood resulting in a non-stop drawing spree. :iconiloveitplz:

EDIT- HOLY CRAP!!!! My question was PICKED in the 'MERC MAIL' section! EVEN MY NAME IS ON IT!!! :O

I don't think I've mentioned this before, but I've been following :icondanluvisiart: for quite some time now ever since he posted that Spider-man vs Venom artwork. Since then, I witnessed a great artist achieve his dream at such an amazing speed, where he has actually started his own comic series known as 'LMS' (Last Man Standing) which is planned to be a full-fledged franchise with a movie by Paramount Pictures already in the works! The first of the series is an all-around profile book detailing all the important characters and their backstories, constructed as if it was a scrapbook compiled by the series' main character himself.

The series is about Gabriel, once a Paladin soldier working under ArmTech, who was worshipped as a hero all over Amerika until one day he was framed for a crime he did not commit, leading him to being convicted and imprisoned........until he broke out. Here's a link to the official site: www.lms-killbook.com/

So I just received "LMS: Killbook Of A Bounty Hunter" and wow. I just wanna say it's AMAZING. It has the potential to be really great, story-wise (I've been pretty neutral about Luvisi's capability of crafting a story, but having read through this it really has good potential). The main character Gabriel seems to try and explain things from a linear perspective (not necessarily simple, it's structured in a way that's really detailed yet easy to follow), but judging from how it was written you can tell Luvisi has many more things in mind, and it feels like he's still holding out on some sweet sweet details (even though there's already A LOT in here) that could factor into the actual plot and make it even more interesting.

I already found interest in a number of characters before but after reading more about them, I'd like to mention my thoughts here, which are outlined in the following (the further they are down the list, the more I like them over the other):

-Betty- she seems really sassy awesome and I love her weapon and overall look but otherwise I'll need to see more of her character

-Nikolai- he seems like a general fun badass guy, I wouldn't mind keeping tabs on what happens with him.

-Dante- while I underestimated his design-reveal (the wanted poster), I really liked how Gabriel seems to hold some form of respect towards how powerful Dante could be, and how he's like the ultimate killer of the killers (Paladin Killer and all). While his tatoos look awesome and add much more than what I originally anticipated, we have yet to see what else is up with this guy.

-Bonnie & Clyde- I'm liking this group, the whole robo-human angle got me to like it from the start, there's an indication that there's more to their "relationship" as mentioned by Gabriel and I'm really curious about the reasons behind Clyde's turn from ArmTech and why he's on-the-run with Bonnie.

-Marie - I love it. The full-on Euro look, the cigarette holder (I have a crush on Audrey Hepburn....true story bro), the simplistic-yet-stylish black attire. Her role as a neutral character that has so much power that she doesn't even need to know how to fight is something I find respectable and truly adore. Really glad Luvisi added a girl like this, as this is more in line with what I like.

-The Judge- a character that's past-the-point-of-no-return. Gabriel sympathizes with his situation since it seems like they were pretty good war-pals, now it will be somethinng that's very interesting to see, especially how he takes him down.

-Abaddon - I fell in love with this design instantly the moment his teaser was revealed (almost reminds me of my old Homunculus OC which you can find in my Scraps). A complete monster like this is always entertaining to see, and he seems like "The Dragon" of Pandemonium and one that seems to have a notorious reputation for being an all-out creep. Even that small photo of him unmasked in the 'newspaper' looks downright perfectly imposing.

And my biggest fave so far:
Eris - first character I truly got into from LMS. While her past is a complete mess (really dark in comparison to a lot of characters, which says a lot considering this book already has tons of violent themes), the way she's coped with it (UNDERSTATEMENT) has gotten me hooked instantly ever since the moment I read through her profile on the LMS site. It's really making me want to follow what else she's gonna go through. She seems like someone that Gabriel finds truly disturbing (among others) and it seems her attitude is as cold/psychotic as it gets, and damn I love those electric-whip-things. I'm surprised that my prediction of her design is very close to how I envisioned it based on the small teaser pic that Luvisi has in his gallery (the highly textured & patterned smooth skin-tight design), which of course.....made feel all giddy inside. :D

Having gone through it I really wanna draw some fan art of these guys because this has really gotten me excited about this series. So yeah, once it comes out, have a look for yourself!!! This has truly inspired me to want to make my own series and get started on some reeeeaaal shit here, which leads me to another point...

So I was down at the Smash convention in Sydney with the rest of The-Mercenaries and bought a ton of manga/anime stuff. I had such a blast with all the anime fans and cosplayers all around. :D

Most of all....I GOT TO MEET :iconendling:

It was awesome and I got to ask him questions during his Digital Workshop (in regards to the status of his personal projects such as Ree and the Everafter artbook).

Also it was great hearing him talk about the art industry along with :iconmikiko-art: and their various experiences (both great and weird). It was such a great pleasure meeting someone that you really look up to. :)

Also, at the end of the day I got both of them to sign prints! BOOYAH!!! :iconiloveitplz:

As for OCT stuff: Invictus comics are being put on hold as I've currently been bombarded with 5 school assignments. :iconidontloveitplz:
